Timex Group Partners with Aston Martin to Launch Watch Collection in India
American watchmaker Timex collaborates with British luxury automaker to bring Formula One-inspired timepieces to Indian market during 2025 festive season launch.
Timex Group India announced a licensing partnership with Aston Martin to manufacture and distribute watches under the British luxury automotive brand in the Indian market.
The collaboration was unveiled at Timex's annual Global Summit in Abu Dhabi, marking Aston Martin's entry into watchmaking and jewelry through the licensing agreement. The partnership will produce collections under both the Aston Martin and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team brands.
The watch collections will incorporate Aston Martin's signature design elements, including the brand's distinctive wings logo and Racing Green color scheme. The timepieces are positioned to appeal to Formula One enthusiasts and performance-oriented consumers.
"We are thrilled to embark on this journey with Aston Martin," said Deepak Chhabra, Managing Director of Timex Group India. "Aston Martin's legendary heritage and distinctive design ethos open exciting possibilities for creating iconic timepieces."
Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification at Aston Martin, described the partnership as part of the company's broader brand extension strategy. "Starting this new license with Timex Group allows us to pursue our brand extension strategy with a long-term vision," Saporetti stated.
Timex Group, founded 170 years ago, will handle the design, manufacturing, and distribution of the Aston Martin watch collections. The company plans to leverage Aston Martin's connection to Formula One's growing popularity, particularly among younger demographics.
The first Aston Martin watch collections are scheduled to launch during India's 2025 festive season. Distribution will include online channels and retail locations, including Just Watches stores operated by Timex Group India and select authorized retailers nationwide.
The partnership represents Aston Martin's strategy to expand into lifestyle categories beyond automotive, while Timex Group gains access to a premium luxury brand with established global recognition and Formula One connections.
