The Authentication Solution Providers' Association (ASPA) and CRISIL will unveil their joint report, "State of Counterfeiting in India 2025," at TAF Connect 2026, a national conference on authentication and traceability scheduled for 16 March in Mumbai.

The report examines counterfeiting trends and provides sector-specific insights for the pharmaceuticals, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and agriculture industries. It also outlines strategies aimed at strengthening consumer safety, supply-chain integrity, and brand protection.

TAF Connect 2026 will feature panel discussions, technical presentations, policy dialogues, and solution showcases focusing on anti-counterfeiting implementation. The one-day event is expected to bring together brand owners, regulators, policymakers, and technology solution providers.

Mankind Pharma and Crystal Crop Protection are supporting the initiative as National Consumer Trust & Safety Partners. The conference has also received backing from CropLife India and the Irrigation Association of India.

Ankit Gupta, President of ASPA, said the conference would provide access to authentication and traceability solutions, including secure packaging technologies, track-and-trace systems, and smart authentication tools. He emphasized the role of industry collaboration in addressing counterfeiting, adulteration, and supply-chain vulnerabilities.

ASPA, founded in 1998, describes itself as the world's first self-regulated non-profit organization representing physical and digital authentication and traceability solutions. The association works to educate stakeholders on technology solutions for brand protection, document security, revenue protection, and consumer empowerment.

The Mumbai conference is positioned as a platform for India's western region to engage with industry-led consumer protection initiatives and trusted supply chain development.
