Suzuki to Launch New e SKY EV in Japan on November 16
Suzuki introduces its first electric kei car built on HEARTECT-e platform with a 310-kilometre WLTC range.
Suzuki Motor Corporation announced on Tuesday that it will begin sales of its all-new e SKY mini electric passenger vehicle in Japan on November 16, 2026.
The e SKY marks Suzuki's entry into the passenger kei-EV market, targeting urban commuters transitioning from internal combustion engine vehicles.
The e SKY is constructed on Suzuki's dedicated "HEARTECT-e" EV platform and incorporates a integrated eAxle along with a regenerative braking system.
Armed with a 26 kWh LFP battery pack, Suzuki says the kei car achieves a claimed driving range of 310 km per charge under Japan's WLTC testing standard.
While the e Sky’s dimensions are yet to be revealed, the Vision e Sky concept, on which the e SKY is based and was showcased at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, measured 3,395mm long, 1,475mm wide and 1,625mm tall. Suzuki also said that the e SKY features a minimum turning radius of 4.4 metres.
