Yamaha Updates Fascino 125 & RayZR 125 Hybrid Scooters with Smart Tech, Starting at ₹79,340
Yamaha refreshes its 125cc Hybrid scooter range with enhanced power assist, smart connectivity, new colours, and advanced features for a more efficient, stylish, and connected urban commuting experience.
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has introduced a series of updates to its 125cc Fi Hybrid scooter range, enhancing both functionality and design. The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid models now come with advanced technological features and a refreshed range of colour options, aiming to offer improved performance, convenience, and style.
The updated models are now available for sale across India, with pricing set as follows on an ex-showroom basis in Delhi: the Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid with Colour TFT and TBT navigation is priced at ₹1,02,790; the standard Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid at ₹95,850; the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid at ₹80,750; the RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid at ₹92,970; and the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid at ₹79,340.
A key upgrade across the 125cc Hybrid lineup is the introduction of the ‘Enhanced Power Assist’ function. This new feature leverages Yamaha’s hybrid technology and a high-performance battery to deliver consistent torque, resulting in stronger acceleration. It is particularly beneficial during initial take-off, when carrying loads, or when riding on inclines. The system works in tandem with existing technologies such as the Smart Motor Generator (SMG), Silent Start, and the Stop & Start System (SSS), contributing to better fuel efficiency and a smoother riding experience.
The premium Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid variant now features a full-colour TFT instrument cluster that supports Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation. This functionality is enabled through smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect app, which integrates with Google Maps. Riders can receive real-time navigation guidance, including directions, intersection alerts, road names, and route indexing, helping to simplify urban commuting.
In addition to technological upgrades, Yamaha has introduced new colour options across the range. The Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid is now available in Matte Grey, offering a modern and premium look. The disc-brake version of the standard Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid comes in Metallic Light Green, while the drum-brake variant is offered in Metallic White. The RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid is available in Matte Grey Metallic, giving it a bold and rugged appeal, and the standard RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid in the disc variant features a Silver White Cocktail shade for a sporty finish.
All scooters in the updated hybrid lineup are powered by a 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected Blue Core Hybrid engine. They are designed to be lightweight and efficient, with features such as telescopic front suspension for improved ride comfort, a side-stand engine cut-off switch for safety, and 21 litres of under-seat storage for practicality. The models are compatible with E20 fuel and deliver improved fuel efficiency. Higher-spec variants, including the Fascino S and RayZR Street Rally, also include LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and the Answer Back system, which helps riders locate their scooters in crowded areas.
Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, stated that the updates reflect insights gathered from customer feedback through various engagement platforms. He emphasized that the enhancements in performance, convenience, and aesthetics are intended to better meet the expectations of riders in the 125cc scooter segment and reinforce Yamaha’s position in the market.
