Gabriel India to acquire stake in HL Klemove India for ADAS

Gabriel India has entered into a strategic joint venture with South Korea-based HL Klemove, under which the Indian auto component manufacturer will become a strategic shareholder in HL Klemove India. The partnership will cover autonomous driving solutions, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and automotive electronics.

Gabriel India will acquire a 30 per cent stake in HL Klemove India for US$98.44 million (approximately ₹935 crore). Through the joint venture, the companies will develop, manufacture and sell autonomous driving and automotive electronics products.

The transaction expands Gabriel India's portfolio beyond its existing automotive component businesses and gives it participation in autonomous driving and automotive electronics through HL Klemove India.

Gabriel India-HL Klemove JV to cover ADAS and autonomous driving

The joint venture will cover a range of advanced mobility solutions, including radar, front cameras, lidar, automated driving and parking control units, along with embedded ADAS software. The product portfolio will also include automotive electronic systems such as brake ECUs, steering ECUs, chassis control units and torque sensors.

HL Klemove is headquartered in South Korea and has capabilities spanning perception, decision and control for autonomous driving. Its portfolio includes radar and camera-based sensing technologies, computing and control units, ADAS software, and braking and steering controllers.

Gabriel India expands into automotive electronics

Mr Jaisal Singh, Vice Chairman of ANAND who spearheads the group’s M&A, said, “As a key growth engine of the ANAND Group, Gabriel India is focused on building scale, enhancing competitiveness, and broadening its presence across high-growth automotive segments. Our latest joint venture with HL Klemove represents a strategic step forward in this endeavour.” 

The partnership adds autonomous driving and automotive electronics to Gabriel India's existing diversification strategy. The company has previously expanded into segments including sunroofs, lubricants, EV fluids and precision fasteners through joint ventures.

Gabriel India said the new joint venture will broaden its participation in autonomous driving and automotive electronics through HL Klemove India.

HL Klemove India has also localised production of ADAS radar and smart cameras in India, according to the release. HL Klemove has more than 2,700 patents and recorded approximately KRW 1.8 trillion in revenue in 2025.
