India’s auto industry sharpened its focus on electrification and advanced technologies this week. JSW MG Motor India mapped out fresh investments and a slate of upcoming launches, as Nissan India outlined plans for three new models and an expansion of its retail network, underlining its export-led strategy.
On the supplier side, German component maker Valeo committed €200 million investment to India as part of its Elevate 2028 strategy. Qualcomm partnered with Tata Electronics for local module manufacturing in Assam, and JSW Greentech received type approval for its 12-metre electric bus.
