Toyota launches Innova Hycross GX (O) at Rs 20.99 lakh

The Toyota Innova Hycross petrol has a new top-spec GX (O) variant, which is priced between Rs 20.99 lakh-21.13 lakh, and is available in seven- and eight-seater configurations. Compared to the previous top-spec Hycross petrol GX variant, the GX (O) adds more features and deliveries. This launch also confirms our report of the Innova Hycross petrol getting a new top-spec trim and deliveries are set to commence today.

Toyota Innova Hycross petrol GX (O): price, features

Based on its price point, the Hycross GX (O) is priced about Rs 1 lakh higher than the equivalent GX variant, and for the premium, Toyota has added front LED fog lights, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and a rear defogger. The interior has been spruced up with a chestnut theme, soft-touch materials on the dash and doors, and new fabric seat covers. In addition, comfort features like automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay have also been added.

However, the Hycross GX (O) 8-seater misses out on the 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and a retractable rear sun shade, which is why the 7-seater is priced Rs 14,000 higher, at Rs 21.13 lakh.

Toyota offers the Hycross GX (O) in seven exterior finishes – Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White and Avant Garde Bronze Metallic.

The same 174hp, 205Nm, 2.0-litre petrol engine is on offer paired with just a CVT automatic gearbox. Toyota says this Hycross has a fuel efficiency of 16.13kpl.

While Toyota's petrol-powered MPV has no direct rivals per se, it does compete with seven-seater SUVs like the Tata SafariMG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. However, the hybrid version sees competition from its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
