Tata AutoComp Systems Limited has entered into a joint venture agreement with South Korea based Jahwa Electronics to locally manufacture and supply advanced thermal management solutions for the Indian automotive market. The partnership will focus on the production of low-voltage and high-voltage positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heaters to address growing component demand in the electric and hybrid vehicle segments.

The joint venture will integrate Jahwa Electronics' thermal technologies and magnetic material expertise with Tata AutoComp's established domestic manufacturing footprint and supply chain network. The initiative is aimed at positioning India as a regional production hub for Jahwa as global and domestic original equipment manufacturers accelerate their investments in vehicle electrification.

Jahwa Electronics chief executive officer Chanyong Kim noted that the collaboration provides the Korean specialty electronic component manufacturer with a stable market entry foundation in India. The localized production of both high-voltage and low-voltage heaters will cater directly to supply chain requirements across the expanding domestic electric vehicle infrastructure.

Tata AutoComp, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, operates 74 manufacturing facilities globally and maintains an independent electric vehicle component division that supplies battery packs, drivetrains, and cooling systems. Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, stated that the partnership represents a strategic step toward introducing sustainable technologies into the evolving domestic mobility landscape.
