Mahindra’s Vision 2027 Unveiled: Anish Shah Emphasises Global Scale, Tech Shift
According to Shah, the new vision is anchored on two “paradigm shifts” – in design and technology.
Mahindra & Mahindra has announced its Vision 2027, a new strategic framework that will guide the company’s next phase of growth in the SUV segment. The announcement was made by Anish Shah, Managing Director & CEO of the Mahindra Group, at an event coinciding with India’s 79th Independence Day.
According to Shah, the new vision is anchored on two “paradigm shifts” – one in design and the other in technology – and will serve as the foundation for Mahindra’s next generation of SUVs. These vehicles will be engineered and developed in India with the intent of competing in both domestic and international markets.
Over the past five years, Mahindra has expanded its SUV portfolio with models such as the Thar, XUV700, and the new Scorpio, while also building its electric vehicle range. The company has achieved record SUV sales in India, becoming the country’s leading SUV maker, and has made initial inroads into overseas markets with the launch of the XUV700 and XUV3XO.
Shah said the group is scaling operations, including at its Chakan plant, to meet rising demand and support international ambitions. He added that Mahindra will continue to invest in innovation, engineering and advanced technologies to address evolving customer needs.
The Vision 2027 roadmap is intended to consolidate Mahindra’s leadership in India’s SUV market while accelerating its global expansion plans.
