Kia Syros SUV Receives 20,163 Bookings Following February Launch
Newly launched sub-compact SUV attracts strong customer interest with petrol variants leading sales at 67%, while premium trims account for 46% of total bookings in Indian market.
In a significant development for India's automotive sector, Kia India's recently launched Syros SUV has garnered substantial market interest, accumulating 20,163 bookings since its introduction. The vehicle, positioned in the sub-compact SUV segment, has demonstrated notable customer preferences in its initial sales patterns.
Market data reveals a strong inclination towards petrol variants, which constitute 67% of total bookings, while diesel versions account for the remaining 33%. The color preferences show Glacier White Pearl leading at 32%, followed by Aurora Black Pearl at 26%, and Frost Blue at 20%. Premium variants have captured significant attention, with 46% of buyers opting for top-end models.
Launched on February 1, 2025, following a pre-booking phase that began on January 3, the Syros is priced between INR 8.99 lakh and INR 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The manufacturer offers ADAS features as an additional option priced at RS 80,000 for the top trim.
The Syros introduces several technological advancements, including an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update system that manages 16 vehicle controllers remotely. The vehicle features the Kia Connect 2.0 system, offering more than 80 connectivity features, alongside Kia Connect Diagnosis (KCD) for remote vehicle health monitoring and Kia Advanced Total Care (KATC) for maintenance alerts.
Safety features have attracted significant attention, with 18% of customers selecting the HTX+(O) ADAS variant. This model includes a comprehensive 20-item safety package featuring 16 Level-2 ADAS capabilities. The vehicle also boasts a 76.2 cm Trinity Panoramic Display panel, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and advanced rear seat functionality with recline, slide, and ventilation options.
Kia India has introduced multiple ownership programs to enhance customer experience. These include My Convenience Secure for wear-and-tear coverage, My Convenience for customized maintenance, and My Convenience Plus, which combines various service features. The company also offers an Extended Warranty program and a Scratch Care Program providing free repair for one scratch within the first year of ownership. Standard features include a three-year Roadside Assistance program, extendable up to six years.
