Bajaj Auto Posts 27% Sales Growth in February 2026
The Pune-based manufacturer sold 4,48,259 units last month, building on a 25% year-on-year rise recorded in January, as both domestic and export markets held firm.
Bajaj Auto Limited recorded a 27% year-on-year increase in total sales for February 2026, selling 4,48,259 units against 3,52,071 units in February 2025, according to a press release filed with BSE and NSE on 2 March 2026.
The growth rate of 27% in February represents a slight acceleration from the 25% year-on-year rise posted in January 2026, when the company sold 4,77,422 units. The sequential decline in absolute volume — from 4,77,422 units in January to 4,48,259 units in February — is consistent with February having fewer selling days.
The two-wheeler segment drove the bulk of volumes, with combined domestic and export sales reaching 3,79,921 units in February, up 27% from 2,99,418 units a year earlier. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 27% to 1,86,164 units, while exports grew 26% to 1,93,757 units — with exports marginally outpacing domestic dispatches in absolute terms.
Commercial vehicles continued to outperform, with total sales rising 30% to 68,338 units. The export sub-segment within commercial vehicles recorded the sharpest gain of the month, up 43% to 21,921 units from 15,376 units in February 2025. Domestic commercial vehicle sales grew 25% to 46,417 units.
On an overall basis, exports for the month grew 28% to 2,15,678 units while domestic sales rose 27% to 2,32,581 units, reflecting broad-based demand across geographies.
For the eleven-month period from April 2025 to February 2026, cumulative sales stood at 46,72,290 units, up 9% from 42,81,143 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. Within this, exports have been a key driver, rising 21% to 20,71,096 units year-to-date, while domestic sales grew at a more moderate 1% to 26,01,194 units.
Bajaj Auto is India's third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume and one of the world's largest exporters of motorcycles. The company's export footprint spans Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and parts of Europe. Commercial vehicles, primarily three-wheelers, contribute a meaningful share to both domestic revenue and export earnings.
The February performance comes as the company manages the interplay between a recovering rural domestic market and continued demand from overseas customers. Domestic two-wheeler sales on a year-to-date basis remain nearly flat — up less than 1% at 21,28,019 units versus 21,24,590 units — underscoring that export momentum has been the primary engine of growth over the April–February period. Commercial vehicle exports, up 52% year-to-date, have been a standout contributor.
The sales data was disclosed pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and signed off by Executive Director Rakesh Sharma.
