Ashok Leyland's domestic YoY wholesales slide by 9% in July 2024
The M&HCV segment witnessed a drop of 14 % to 7685 units during July 2024, as against 8974 units in July 2023.
Chennai-based Ashok Leyland reported that its total domestic wholesales for its commercial vehicles in July 2024 stood at 12926 units, a drop of 9% in comparison to 14,207 units during the corresponding month of the previous year.
The M&HCV segment witnessed a drop of 14 % to 7685 units during July 2024, as against 8974 units in July 2023. Furthermore, within the M&HCV segment, trucks dropped by 20% to 6254 units during July 2024, when compared to 7834 units recorded in July 2023. Likewise, in the buses segment, the jump seems massive, at 26% to 1431 units in July 2024, compared to the 1140 units in July last year.
Secondly, in the LCV category, the company witnessed flat growth at 5241 units in July 2024, as compared to 5233 units during the comparable period.
