AMS Launches ‘GCC Flex’ Hiring Platform for India-Based Global Capability Centres

AMS has launched GCC Flex, a hiring operating system designed for India-based Global Capability Centres (GCCs), as companies expand technology and digital operations in the country.

The company said the platform is intended to help GCCs improve recruitment efficiency and scale hiring operations as demand for digital, cloud, AI and risk management skills grows. GCC Flex aims to deliver a 30% improvement in hiring cycle times and achieve sub-30-day time-to-hire for critical roles, according to the company.

India continues to attract investments in GCCs across cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, as multinational firms expand their technology, analytics and shared services capabilities. Industry estimates suggest that more than 100 new mid-sized GCCs could be established annually, increasing competition for skilled professionals.

Automotive and mobility companies are among the sectors expanding their global capability centres in India to support software development, vehicle engineering and digital services. Companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Volvo Group and Stellantis operate large technology and engineering centres in cities including Bengaluru and Hyderabad. These centres support areas such as software-defined vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems, electrification and mobility platforms, increasing demand for specialised engineering and digital talent.

“India’s GCCs are playing an increasingly strategic role in global capability strategy,” said Roop Kaistha, Regional Managing Director for APAC at AMS. He said hiring processes in these centres require structured frameworks with measurable outcomes and governance oversight to support long-term talent development.

According to the company, GCCs in India face hiring pressures as operations expand into product ownership, analytics, shared services and innovation functions. In Bengaluru, which has one of the largest GCC talent pools, compensation levels for GCC roles are reported to be 8–10% higher than broader market benchmarks. Meanwhile, Hyderabad has seen 42% year-on-year growth in GCC hiring requisitions, with pay premiums of about 6–8%, reflecting strong demand for specialised talent.

As hiring expands into Pune and several Tier-2 cities, companies are increasingly focusing on location strategy, recruitment speed and pipeline visibility to manage costs and scale operations. Extended interview cycles, inconsistent compensation benchmarking and limited visibility across recruitment pipelines have been cited as factors contributing to candidate drop-offs and early attrition in some GCCs.

AMS said GCC Flex integrates consulting services, specialist hiring teams and AI-enabled workflows through its AMS One platform. The model provides defined service levels, outcome-based pricing and measurable cycle-time targets, and can be adapted to different stages of GCC maturity.

The company said the framework allows new or smaller GCCs to establish hiring processes without large infrastructure investments, while mid-sized centres can scale recruitment through specialist hiring teams aligned to areas such as technology, analytics and shared services. Larger centres can use workforce planning and skills-adjacency frameworks to stabilise hiring pipelines and reduce replacement hiring.

AMS said the system is designed to achieve offer acceptance rates above 85%, supported by two-to-three-stage interview processes and 48–72-hour offer rollouts. It also uses talent communities and recruitment funnel analytics to improve candidate conversion and reduce early-tenure attrition.
