XC90 drives Volvo Cars' global sales in February
Sales of the new Volvo XC90 were the main growth driver in all regions, while the XC60 was the best-selling model globally.
Swedish automaker Volvo Cars posted a 15.2 percent increase in sales for the month of February, selling 34,551 cars globally.

Continuing the trend, Sweden was the biggest market for the automaker in February, while sales in Europe as a whole were up 21 percent, with growth across the region. The Volvo XC60 was the best-selling model, while the new XC90 represented most of the growth for the month.
The United States reported sales of 5,261 cars, up 31.1 percent versus the same month last year. February was the eighth consecutive month of double-digit growth for Volvo in the United States. Sales were boosted by strong demand for the new XC90, which also was the best-selling Volvo model in the US for the month.
Volvo China reported retail sales of 4,866 cars, up 1.1 percent. The best-selling cars were the locally produced Volvo XC60 and S60L models.
The Volvo XC60 was the best-selling model in February, with 9,425 sold cars (2015: 10,381), followed by the new Volvo XC90, for which deliveries reached 6,055 cars (new). The Volvo V40 and V40 Cross Country was the third best-selling model, at 6,200 cars (6,413).
