Nissan Introduces Twin Cylinder CNG Retrofitment Kit for the Gravite
The Motozen developed system is priced at Rs 82,999 and utilizes two 25 liter tanks to preserve the vehicle's third row passenger space.
Nissan Motor India Private Limited announced the launch of a government approved CNG retrofitment kit for its GRAVITE model on May 4, 2026. The system is available at an introductory price of Rs 82,999 and will be retailed through authorized Nissan dealerships across 60 cities in 16 states.
The retrofitment kit features a twin cylinder configuration consisting of two 25 liter tanks. According to the automaker, this specific layout allows the GRAVITE to retain its original seven seater functionality and third row passenger space. The CNG system was developed, manufactured, and quality tested by Motozen.
Technically, the setup is a sequential BS6.2 compliant system that holds safety and reliability certifications from the International Centre for Automotive Technology. The system utilizes cylinders with a thickness of 8.1 millimeters for enhanced durability and includes Dynamic Advancer Technology tuned specifically for the GRAVITE. The fuel filling receptacle is integrated underneath the standard fuel lid for a factory finish appearance.
Customers purchasing the kit will receive a three year or 1,00,000 kilometer warranty on the CNG components, which is covered by a third party provider. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, noted that the introduction of the twin cylinder solution addresses the needs of buyers who require the space of a multi purpose vehicle alongside the operational economy of CNG.
