Steelbird Launches SB-120 Helmet Starting at Rs 3,999

Steelbird Helmets has introduced the new SB-120 motorcycle helmet in the Indian market. The new model is priced at Rs 3,999 for the mono color variants and Rs 4,499 for models featuring decals.

The SB-120 holds multiple safety certifications, including the Indian ISI (IS 4151:2015), the American DOT (FMVSS 218), and the European ECE R22.06 standard. The outer shell of the helmet is constructed using advanced polymer and fiberglass reinforcement to provide structural integrity and impact resistance. Its aerodynamic profile also incorporates a rear spoiler. The helmet weighs approximately 1,500 grams, with a variance of 50 grams.

The helmet also features a tinted inner sun visor to reduce glare and a Pinlock 30 anti-fog system. The interior incorporates ventilation, breathable mesh zones, removable and washable cheek pads, and reflective elements designed for low light conditions.

In case of accidents, the SB-120 is equipped with a quick release cheek pad system that allows first responders to safely remove the helmet. It also includes a blood group identification sticker for emergency use. Buyers have the flexibility to choose between a Double D-Ring or a Micrometric Buckle for the retention system.

The helmet is available in four sizes: 540 mm, 560 mm, 580 mm, and 590 mm. Consumers can select from various exterior finishes, including matte, glossy, and a carbon fiber design pattern.

Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Helmets, stated that the new SB-120 builds upon the company's existing Fighter series. He noted that the launch is a strategic step to align the brand with global safety standards while maintaining an accessible price point for Indian riders.
