'The customer mindset towards EVs has completely transformed in last 5 years'

India's No. 3 carmaker Tata Motors has crossed the important milestone of selling 100,000 EVs in the nascent Indian market within a short span of five years after introducing its first product. The company which is now gearing to introduce four new EVs within the next year, is confident of a faster adoption rate going forward and aims to double the number of its EVs on roads within the next 12-18 months.

Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility shares how the quick milestone has surpassed the company's expectations, with government subsidies, as well as trust shown by early adopters having played a key role in this important journey.

Chandra also talks about how continuous strengthening of charging infrastructure as well as entry of more players into the EV domain will help grow the overall EV market in India.
