'World looks at India as important pillar of stability,': PM Modi at Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, said that the world looks at India as an important pillar of stabiility.

"The world looks at India as an important pillar of stability. A friend who can be trusted. A partner who believes in people centric development. A voice that believes in global good. A technology hub for finding solutions and a powerhouse of talented youth, and a democracy that delivers," he said, addressing the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.

If there is so much momentum in Bharat's growth, it is due to the government's focus on structural reforms, that has bolstered economic capabilities and competitiveness, he added.

The country is working at a fast pace on fronts of green and solar energy, he added. In the past 10 years, accessibility to phones and data have heralded a new era of digitilisation, and India has 1,15,000 registered startups, Modi said, alluding to the various facets of the economy that have seen growth.

Vibrant Gujarat is a 'gateway to the future and said people are not investing but enabling the shaping of a new generation of consumers and creators.

"Today, India is the fifth largest economy in the world. 10 years ago, India was on the 11th position. Today, all major agencies estimate that India will be in the top three economies of the world in the coming years. Let people across the world do their analysis, but it is my guarantee that it will happen," he said.
