VE Commercial Vehicles Records 7.3% Sales Growth in May 2025

VE Commercial Vehicles Records 7.3% Sales Growth in May 2025

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, reported total sales of 7,402 units in May 2025, marking a 7.3% increase over the 6,901 units sold in May 2024.

Eicher-branded trucks and buses contributed 7,258 units, reflecting 8% growth compared to 6,719 units in the same month last year. Within the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Eicher vehicles saw sales of 6,758 units, up 7.2% from 6,304 units in May 2024.

Exports also performed strongly, with VECV recording 501 units in May 2025, a 20.7% increase from 415 units a year ago.

However, Volvo-branded trucks and buses posted a decline, with sales falling 20.9% to 144 units from 182 units in May 2024.

VECV, operational since 2008, offers a wide range of Eicher and Volvo vehicles, including trucks, buses, engines, and components, and plays a key role in modernizing commercial transportation in India and emerging markets.
