Updated BMW G 310 RR Teased Ahead of India Launch
Expect the updated BMW G 310 RR to be priced at around Rs 20,000 more than the badge-engineered TVS Apache RR 310.
BMW Motorrad India has released a first teaser of the updated G 310 RR, the only motorcycle currently on sale from its joint venture with TVS. The update BMW G 310 RR is expected to get similar upgrades that were introduced on the TVS Apache RR 310 which has a lot in common with the G 310 RR.
In late 2024, the TVS Apache RR 310 received mechanical enhancements such as a larger airbox, higher compression ratio, bigger throttle body and lighter forged piston. These changes lifted output to 38hp at 9,800rpm and 29Nm at 7,900rpm, up from 34hp and 27.3Nm earlier. The bike also gained modern features like a bi-directional quickshifter and cruise control.
In April 2025, TVS rolled out a second update on the Apache RR 310 while bringing the Apache up to OBD2B compliance. This added launch control and cornering drag torque control, alongside cosmetic and hardware revisions. All the changes that have been done on the Apache RR 310 are expected to be seen on the updated BMW G 310 RR that will launch soon.
Additionally, BMW could also add aerodynamic winglets to the fairing – claimed to generate up to 3kg of downforce – and a transparent clutch cover. The new 8-spoke alloy wheels, first seen on the RTR 310 and later on the Apache, could also make their way to the G 310 RR.
As far as pricing goes, expect a slight bump in pricing for the upcoming BMW G 310 RR. The outgoing BMW G 310 RR is priced at Rs 3.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the raft of upgrades is expected to push prices higher, BMW could benefit from the new GST structure. Historically, the BMW has priced the G 310 RR at a premium of around Rs 20,000 over the equivalent TVS Apache RR 310 (currently priced at Rs 2.95 lakh for the top trim), and we expect a similar gap updated version model as well.
