Triumph Launches Scrambler 400 XC in India at ₹2.94 Lakh

Triumph has introduced the Scrambler 400 XC in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹2,94,147 (Delhi). This latest addition expands the company’s 400cc Modern Classic lineup, positioned alongside the Scrambler 400X, and aims to offer practical usability across road and trail conditions.

Drawing design inspiration from the Scrambler 900 and 1200 models, the new motorcycle is styled with a traditional scrambler silhouette, including a sculpted tank, high-mounted front fender, and a stainless steel upswept silencer. The bike is powered by a 398cc TR-series engine tuned specifically for scrambler-style performance, producing 40 PS at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The Scrambler 400 XC comes equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke rims fitted with tubeless, dual-purpose tires. Suspension components include upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, both offering 150 mm of travel. Standard equipment includes an engine guard, sump guard, windshield, handguards, and a tear-drop-shaped metal fuel tank.

Riders also benefit from modern features such as LED lighting with a DRL headlamp, a dual-format instrument cluster, a USB charging socket, and adjustable clutch and brake levers. The bike incorporates ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and an off-road ABS mode for improved versatility.

Available in three colour options—Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White—the Scrambler 400 XC also offers more than 20 accessories for personalization. The motorcycle is backed by a standard 5-year warranty and 1 year of Roadside Assistance, with service intervals set at 16,000 km. Extended warranty and AMC options are available for added flexibility.

Speaking on the launch, Manik Nangia, President, Pro-Biking business unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said the Scrambler 400 XC adds to Triumph’s Modern Classic range in India and is aimed at riders seeking a mix of everyday usability and occasional adventure touring.
