Toyota Taisor Gets Bluish Black Shade and Six Airbags Standard Across All Variants

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced two key updates to its compact SUV, the Urban Cruiser Taisor. The enhancements include a new exterior colour option, Bluish Black, and the standardization of six airbags across all variants.

The new Bluish Black paint option is now available on select variants of the Taisor. Positioned as a visually distinctive choice, the shade aims to appeal to customers seeking a modern and sporty aesthetic. The addition expands the existing colour palette and aligns with growing consumer interest in个性化 design elements within the compact SUV segment.

In a move to enhance occupant safety, TKM has made six airbags standard across all trim levels — E, S, S+, G, and V. The system includes dual front airbags, side airbags for front occupants, and curtain airbags for both rows, offering improved protection in the event of a collision. This update ensures uniform safety features throughout the model range.

The Urban Cruiser Taisor is offered with two engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual (5MT), 5-speed automated manual (5AMT), and a 6-speed automatic (6AT). The vehicle claims a fuel efficiency of up to 22.79 km/l under applicable testing conditions.

Features on the Taisor include LED headlamps, twin LED daytime running lights, a trapezoidal grille with chrome detailing, and a dual-tone interior. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while additional tech features include cruise control, paddle shifters (on automatic variants), wireless charging, and Toyota’s i-Connect system with voice assistant and smartwatch integration.

Other notable features include 60:40 split rear seats, rear air conditioning vents, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Hold Assist, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.

The vehicle comes with a standard 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, which can be extended up to 5 years or 220,000 km. Toyota also offers Express Maintenance and 24x7 roadside assistance for added customer support.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is priced from Rs. 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
