Tata Motors presented a range of industrial aggregates at Bauma CONEXPO India 2026 in Mumbai on September 15, including gensets, engines, and a new axle product developed and manufactured in India.

The exhibits included CPCB IV+ compliant gensets ranging from 10 kVA to 125 kVA, industrial engines spanning 0.7-litre to 3.3-litre displacement, and the HR 210 Live Axle, which the company describes as India's first hub reduction axle with high localised content. The products target material handling, construction, and logistics applications.

Genset Lineup and Remote Monitoring Capabilities

The genset lineup is built on Tata Motors' existing vehicular engine platforms and integrates Remote Monitoring Systems for real-time diagnostics. The remote monitoring feature is standard on units above 55 kVA and optional on smaller variants. The system is designed to allow operators to track performance data and manage costs without requiring on-site intervention.

Industrial Engine Range: Specifications and Applications

The industrial engine range covers three variants: a 497 Naturally Aspirated unit rated at 41 kW, a 497 Turbocharged unit at 74 kW, and a 3.3-litre turbocharged engine producing 101.5 kW. These are designed for variable, high-load duty cycles that are typical of construction sites and industrial facilities in India, where equipment is often run continuously across extended shifts.

HR 210 Live Axle: India's First Hub Reduction Axle

The HR 210 Live Axle is a hub reduction design, a configuration that places the final gear reduction at the wheel hub rather than at the differential. This arrangement increases ground clearance and allows the axle to handle higher torque loads, making it suited for off-road and heavy construction use. Tata Motors says the product has been designed and manufactured in India with a high proportion of locally sourced components, positioning it within the broader government push for domestic manufacturing under the Make in India framework.

Tata Motors on Its Aggregates Portfolio Strategy

Vikram Agrawal, Head of Parts and Aggregates Business at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said the company's focus was on expanding its aggregates portfolio across applications as industry demand shifts toward continuous, high-intensity project cycles. He added that the products on display were engineered and manufactured in India for operating conditions specific to the domestic market.

About Bauma CONEXPO India 2026

Bauma CONEXPO India, held in Greater Noida, is one of the country's trade events for construction equipment, building materials machinery, and related technologies. It draws participation from domestic and international manufacturers and serves as a platform for product launches and industry announcements in the infrastructure and construction segments.

India's construction sector has seen a period of increased public capital expenditure, driven in part by central government infrastructure programmes covering roads, railways, ports, and urban development. This has supported demand for construction equipment and ancillary products including power generation units and load-bearing components.
