GranTurismo and GranCabrio: powertrain updates

The combustion-powered versions retain Maserati’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine. In the 490 version, it produces 490hp and 600Nm, while the Trofeo develops 590hp and 650Nm. The Trofeo’s output has increased by 50hp compared with the pre-facelift model.

Both versions use an eight-speed gearbox that sends power to all four wheels, with revised calibration for quicker responses.

The GranTurismo 490 claims a 0-100kph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 302kph. The Trofeo takes 3.5 seconds and reaches 320kph. In the GranCabrio, the corresponding figures are 4 seconds and 300kph for the 490, and 3.6 seconds and 316kph for the Trofeo.

The Folgore versions retain a 92.5kWh battery pack and a three-motor setup, comprising one motor at the front and two at the rear. Combined output stands at 761hp and 1,340Nm.                              The GranTurismo Folgore accelerates from 0-100kph in 2.5 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 325kph. The GranCabrio Folgore takes 2.8 seconds and reaches 290kph.

Maserati claims a WLTP range of 540km for the Folgore models, up from 450km, following the introduction of a system that disconnects the front motor when all-wheel traction is not required. With a 270kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. AC charging is supported at up to 22kW.

All versions get air suspension as standard. The base-spec and Folgore models also receive a new Country drive mode, which replaces the previous Comfort mode and raises ground clearance by 20mm at speeds of up to 120kph.

GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift: exterior changes

The 2026 GranTurismo and GranCabrio get revised front bumpers inspired by the MCPura, with reshaped air intakes and a redesigned splitter. The LED tail-lamps now feature clear-lens detailing. The Folgore versions get slightly different air intakes and rear bumpers to distinguish them from the petrol-powered models.

The GranCabrio’s fabric roof can open in 14 seconds and close in 16 seconds. With the roof down, boot capacity ranges from 151 to 172 litres.

Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalisation programme adds new exterior paint, badge and exhaust-tip options. New paint colours include Green Jupiter Matte, Blu Denim, Bronzo Lucido, Bronzo Matte, Grigio Mistero, Rosso Velluto and Oro Lirico. Optional Tridente alloy wheels feature a gloss-black design inspired by the MCPura and increase track width by 10mm.

The cabin updates include a new race-inspired octagonal steering wheel with dark satin aluminium spokes, a redesigned digital clock with an octagonal metal rim and new graphics, and metal knobs for the drive selector.

The parking function is now integrated into the steering-wheel paddles. Maserati has also added a system designed to monitor driver behaviour and fatigue.

Grecale facelift: new Modena V6 joins the range

The entry-level Grecale continues with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine producing 300hp and 450Nm. The Modena uses the same engine in a 330hp tune, with torque unchanged at 450Nm.

The new Modena V6 gets the 3.0-litre Nettuno V6, producing 390hp and 500Nm. Maserati claims a 0-100kph time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 260kph. The Trofeo also uses the Nettuno V6, but develops 530hp and 620Nm. It claims a 0-100kph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 285kph.

The all-electric Grecale Folgore produces 550hp and 820Nm from a 105kWh battery pack. It claims a 0-100kph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 220kph. Maserati says its updated control strategy improves the claimed range to up to 580km. Charging is supported at up to 22kW AC and 150kW DC.

Grecale facelift: exterior and cabin updates

The Grecale facelift gets a redesigned front bumper and a more pronounced concave grille with a shark-nose design inspired by the MCPura. Larger air intakes and air curtains are designed to guide airflow around the front wheel arches.

The Trofeo gets matrix LED headlamps, while the other variants use full-LED units. The Grecale, Modena and Modena V6 ride on 20-inch forged wheels, while the Trofeo gets 21-inch alloys. The Modena V6 is distinguished by yellow brake calipers.

The Folgore gets illuminated black side vents, 20-inch Nembo alloys and copper brake calipers. New wheel designs and a Grigio Lamiera Shiny paint finish are available through the Fuoriserie programme.

Inside, the SUV gets a new octagonal steering wheel, a revised digital clock with a mineral crystal dial and metal bezel, and backlit metal gear-selector buttons with capacitive haptic technology.

The feature list includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch lower screen for climate controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Maserati Intelligent Assistant. All variants except the entry-level Grecale get a 14-speaker Sonus faber audio system, three-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting and heated front seats.

The Modena V6 and Trofeo get an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, with yellow and red cabin stitching, respectively. The Modena V6 also gets 14-way power-adjustable front seats, while a panoramic sunroof is exclusive to the Trofeo.                                                                                                  Boot capacity is 535 litres in the Grecale, Modena and Folgore, and 570 litres in the Modena V6 and Trofeo.

Grecale facelift safety features

The Grecale facelift gets front, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX anchors, and front and rear parking sensors.

Its ADAS suite includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane management, blind-spot monitoring, traffic-sign recognition and intersection collision assist. The Folgore does not get traffic-sign recognition or intersection collision assist.
