Navnit Motors Opens India’s Largest BMW Service Workshop in Mumbai

BMW Group India has inaugurated a new service workshop operated by Navnit Motors in Mumbai, which the company describes as India’s largest BMW service facility. Located in Andheri East, the workshop spans approximately 115,000 sq ft of covered area and has 53 service bays.

The facility follows BMW’s Retail.NEXT standards and incorporates diagnostic equipment, electric vehicle (EV) servicing infrastructure and digital systems for managing service appointments, repair approvals and vehicle tracking. The expansion adds service capacity to BMW’s authorised aftersales network in Mumbai.

The workshop has six service consultation bays, three diagnostic bays, 21 mechanical and electrical bays, and 23 body and paint bays. BMW-certified technicians and high-voltage specialists will handle vehicle servicing, supported by diagnostic systems and equipment designed for different drivetrain technologies.

Digital Services and EV Infrastructure

Customers can schedule and manage workshop appointments through the MyBMW app. BMW also offers a personalised service video explaining recommended repairs, with customers able to review, approve and pay for services online. A digital vehicle-tracking system provides visibility of the vehicle’s progress from arrival at the workshop to departure.

The facility also includes a customer lounge, a separate chauffeur lounge and a dedicated BMW M Zone featuring M Performance Parts and accessories. A BMW Accessories and Lifestyle Collection is available for customers seeking vehicle-related accessories and merchandise.

BMW Group India President and CEO Hardeep Singh Brar said the facility brings together service capacity, digital systems and technical expertise to support customers throughout vehicle ownership. Navnit Motors Dealer Principal Krishna Kachalia said the workshop incorporates expanded service capacity, advanced diagnostics and dedicated EV facilities.

Sustainability Measures at the Mumbai Workshop

The workshop incorporates solar power, rainwater harvesting, water recycling and energy-efficient infrastructure. Solar power supplies 20% of the facility’s electricity requirements, while all water used for car washing is recycled.

BMW Group India also states that the facility follows a zero-waste approach for solid and toxic waste.

The workshop is part of BMW’s wider aftersales network in India, which the company says comprises 56 service workshops across metropolitan markets and Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. Its aftersales offering includes proactive maintenance alerts, Condition Based Service and Service Inclusive packages covering routine maintenance and specified consumables.
