Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles commenced deliveries of its Tata Prima E.55S battery electric prime movers to Enviiiro Wheels Mobility on October 9, 2025. The first batch of vehicles was handed over in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, marking a significant step in the adoption of zero-emission commercial transportation for India's logistics sector.

Enviiiro Wheels Mobility, a commercial transportation provider serving the power, mining, cement, and steel industries, will deploy the electric vehicles for mineral and ore transportation. The company specializes in green commercial transportation solutions across these sectors.

The Tata Prima E.55S is engineered with an advanced electric vehicle architecture featuring a full-electric drivetrain and integrated e-axle. The vehicle can travel up to 350 kilometers on a single charge and is equipped with regenerative braking technology to extend range. It includes a 3-speed auto shift transmission with an e-axle for efficiency and supports dual gun fast charging to minimize downtime.

Safety features integrated into the vehicle include a Driver Monitoring System, Lane Departure Warning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Cruise Control, and an Electronic Braking System. Optional Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features are also available. The cabin design incorporates a pneumatically suspended seat and tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel to reduce driver fatigue and enhance comfort.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles operates as a market leader in the Indian trucks segment. The company is developing a broader portfolio of alternative fuel technologies, including battery electric, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, hydrogen internal combustion, and hydrogen fuel cell solutions. These technologies are applied across multiple vehicle categories including small commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, and vans.

The company supports its commercial vehicle portfolio through its Sampoorna Seva 2.0 initiative, which provides value-added services for vehicle lifecycle management. Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles operates a service network of over 3,200 touchpoints across India, offering 24/7 customer support.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, part of the USD 180 billion Tata Group, is India's largest manufacturer of utility vehicles, pick-ups, trucks, and buses. The company operates in India and South Korea and maintains a global presence across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and SAARC countries.

Under a Composite Scheme of Arrangement approved by the National Company Law Tribunal, the company's name will be changed to Tata Motors Limited, with its equity shares to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The name change and listing processes are currently underway.
