Škoda Auto has introduced a range of free 3D-printable accessories on Printables.com, allowing owners to download designs and manufacture practical vehicle add-ons using their own 3D printers. The accessories cover current and discontinued models and include cupholders, storage boxes, cable management tools and other interior organisers.
The designs have been developed by Škoda’s innovation incubator, design and engineering teams. The initiative extends the company’s Simply Clever approach to vehicle usability, with downloadable files that users can adapt to their requirements before printing.
Škoda 3D-Printable Accessories Focus on Interior Functionality
The range includes cupholders, cable management tools, coin boxes, USB cable and cap hooks for seat-back pockets, phone brackets and top tether hooks. Several accessories are designed to work across multiple models, while some use existing storage compartments without requiring modifications to the vehicle.
The initiative follows the release of Škoda’s 3D-printable vehicle models. Feedback from the brand’s community has informed the development of additional accessories, with user suggestions on Printables.com helping determine which designs are developed next.
Škoda Peaq and Epiq Get Model-Specific Accessories
Škoda has also developed accessories specifically for its Peaq and Epiq models. These include cupholder covers, a jumbo box tray, inserts and holders, and a lower-console organiser.
For the Peaq, the range also includes a clip-on cupholder designed for its foldable table, compatible with standard and large cups. The company said these accessories were developed in response to requests from its user community.
By making the designs available for download, Škoda is using 3D printing to offer vehicle accessories without the tooling, inventory and lead times associated with conventional production.
