Renault India Sells 4,063 Units in June, Up 55%; H1 Sales Rise 61% to 25,844 Units

Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, posted domestic wholesales of 4,063 units in June 2026, up 55% from the same month last year. The company's first-half performance stood at 25,844 units, a 61% year-on-year increase, marking the tenth straight month of double-digit growth for the automaker.

During the month, Renault India also commenced exports of the all-new Renault Duster, with the first shipment of 750 units dispatched to South Africa. The company said the sustained growth reflects continued customer acceptance of its evolving product strategy and strengthening demand across its portfolio.

Renault India currently offers a range of passenger vehicles across different segments, catering to urban commuters as well as family-oriented buyers. The company's portfolio includes the Kwid hatchback, Kiger compact SUV, Triber MPV, and the recently introduced new-generation Duster SUV.

The Renault Kwid remains the brand's entry-level offering, featuring compact dimensions, SUV-inspired styling, and a focus on affordability and practicality. The Kiger competes in the highly competitive sub-four-metre SUV segment and is available with naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engine options. It is positioned as a feature-rich compact SUV for urban and highway use.

The Renault Triber serves as the company's multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), offering flexible seating configurations and the ability to accommodate up to seven occupants within a compact footprint. Its modular cabin layout has made it a practical choice for larger families.

A major addition to Renault India's lineup is the all-new Duster, marking the return of one of the brand's most recognisable nameplates in the country. Built on a new platform, the SUV features updated styling, advanced driver-assistance systems, connected technology, and multiple turbo-petrol engine options. Renault has also announced a strong-hybrid E-Tech variant, expanding the Duster's appeal in the growing midsize SUV segment. The return of the Duster is expected to play a key role in Renault's growth strategy in India.

Renault India manufactures its vehicles at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an installed production capacity of 480,000 units per annum. The company maintains a network of more than 350 sales and 450 service touchpoints across the country, including over 250 Workshop on Wheels locations, as part of its broader push to expand accessibility and after-sales support.
