CEAT Ladakh Enduro Park Gets Asia’s Highest-Altitude Tag

CEAT Ladakh Enduro Park has been recognised by the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records as Asia’s Highest-Altitude Motorcycle Training Arena. The facility is located at approximately 3,500 metres above sea level in Leh, Ladakh.

The purpose-built off-road training facility opened on August 7, 2024, and has trained more than 2,500 riders since its opening. The Park combines Ladakh’s high-altitude terrain with a professionally designed track and purpose-built obstacles for off-road riding training.

The recognition was marked at a felicitation ceremony at the Park on August 16, attended by CEAT leadership, adventure riders and members of Ladakh’s motorcycle community.

CEAT Ladakh Enduro Park Offers Three-Level Training Programme

The Park has been designed as a training facility for India’s off-road riding community, with a structured three-level programme covering different rider skill levels. The programme focuses on terrain navigation, body positioning, motorcycle control and obstacle management.

CEAT Chief Marketing Officer Lakshmi Narayanan B said the facility was created as a platform for riders to develop their skills in a structured environment. He added that more than 2,500 riders had been trained at the Park over two years.

Marshal Training Programme Targets Local Skills

CEAT is also using the facility for a Marshal Training Programme conducted in partnership with the Ladakh Bike Rental Cooperative Association. The programme is aimed at developing the skills required to guide riders through Ladakh’s high-altitude conditions.

The programme covers the three levels of off-road riding, along with first aid and CPR, emergency and accident response, hand signals for turns and hazards, motorcycle setup across different terrain, and customer handling and communication. Participants receive certification after completing the programme.

Park Aims to Create Pathways for Local Riders

The initiative is also intended to provide young local riders and marshals with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and develop pathways into professional marshalling and competitive riding.

CEAT said the combination of training infrastructure, coaching and Ladakh’s natural terrain is intended to position the Park as a facility for off-road rider development, alongside its role as a riding destination.
