Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (PVPL), the Indian subsidiary of the Italian Piaggio Group, has launched two new models under its Apé Electrik range — the Apé E-City Ultra and Apé E-City FX Maxx. These electric three-wheelers are designed to meet the growing demand for efficient and sustainable last-mile passenger mobility solutions in urban areas.
The Apé E-City Ultra comes with a certified range of 236 km and is powered by a 10.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. It delivers peak power of 9.55 kW and 45 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 55 kmph. The vehicle supports gradeability of 28%, making it suitable for hilly roads and flyovers. It also includes a climb assist mode, a 3 kW charger for faster charging, a digital speedometer with battery level, range, speed and system alerts, and 4G telematics for live tracking, geo-fencing, and remote immobilization. The model features a full-metal body and is covered by a five-year or 2,25,000 km warranty.
The Apé E-City FX Maxx offers a certified range of 174 km and is equipped with an 8.0 kWh battery. It produces peak power of 7.4 kW and 30 Nm torque, with a gradeability of 19%. The vehicle uses prismatic cell technology to support battery stability and includes energy monitoring features to manage battery life.
The Apé E-City Ultra is priced at ₹3,88,000, while the FX Maxx is available at ₹3,30,000 (ex-showroom, India). Both models are now available at Piaggio dealerships nationwide.
Company executives highlighted that the new offerings are aimed at meeting the demands of urban commuters, with a focus on range, reliability, and lower operating costs, while supporting India’s transition to electric mobility.
