Pavna to Establish Auto-Components Facility in Tamil Nadu

Pavna Industries Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a new auto-components manufacturing facility at the Future Mobility Park in Shoolagiri, Krishnagiri District.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday, is part of Pavna’s plan to expand its production footprint and align with Tamil Nadu’s push to strengthen its automotive and mobility sector. The state government has committed to provide facilitation support to enable timely execution of the project.

According to the company, the upcoming facility will support manufacturing for multiple vehicle categories including passenger cars, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. Pavna Industries currently supplies to several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Bajaj, Honda, TVS, Mahindra, Royal Enfield, Ashok Leyland, and Eicher Motors.

Pavna Industries Managing Director Swapnil Jain said the project is expected to generate employment and build opportunities for local talent. “This initiative is aligned with the Make in India vision and will contribute to the growth of the state’s automotive ecosystem,” Jain said.

The company, incorporated in 1994 and earlier known as Pavna Locks Limited, manufactures a wide range of components including ignition switches, fuel tank caps, auto locks, oil pumps, throttle bodies, and casting parts. It operates manufacturing facilities in Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Aurangabad (Maharashtra), and Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), while another plant is under development in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Its products are also exported to countries such as Italy, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the United States, and Bangladesh.

In addition to manufacturing, Pavna has focused on research and development through in-house initiatives and partnerships, including joint ventures with overseas firms such as Sunworld Moto Industrial Co. The company says its R&D strategy is aimed at expanding its product portfolio and upgrading manufacturing processes.

The investment in Shoolagiri marks a continuation of Pavna’s expansion strategy, with the company positioning itself to participate in the growth of India’s automotive and future mobility landscape.
