Ola S1 Z range, battery, motor details
Powering the Ola S1 Z are a pair of 1.5kWh battery packs but where Ola has gone down a new path is that the S1 Z can run on even a single battery pack. Certified range for the S1 Z with the single battery pack is 75km, which increases to 146km when it is equipped with two.
It uses a hub-mounted motor with a peak power of 3kW and it can achieve a 70kph top speed (claimed). Ola claims the S1 Z does the 0-40kph sprint in 4.7 seconds. The Ola S1 Z runs on 14-inch wheels, quite a rarity in the e-scooter segment, and the only other Indian e-scooter to do so is the River Indie.
Other than that, no technical specifications regarding the dimensions, weight or charging time have been released by the company. We will update this story as and when we receive more information.
The S1 Z has a brand-new design language which is rather boxy and the top Z+ variant comes with some accessories such as a luggage rack at the front and rear, a small visor and a pillion sidestep. An LCD display is available on the S1 Z models and it can be paired to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
With prices ranging between Rs 59,999-64,999, the Ola S1 Z is one of the most affordable two-wheelers on sale in India, petrol or electric. Deliveries of the S1 Z are slated to begin by May 2025, says Ola.
