Nippon Paint, Asia Pacific’s leading paint company by revenue, has introduced its new n-SHIELD Paint Protection Film (PPF) range in India. The launch event, held in New Delhi, also marked the beginning of its association with the India Champions cricket team, aligning with the brand’s positioning around protection and performance.

The n-SHIELD product line includes a range of Paint Protection Films and detailing solutions designed to meet the increasing demand for vehicle surface protection. Developed over the past four years, the films are intended to offer protection from UV exposure, road debris, and minor impacts. Available in gloss, matte, and coloured variants, the products also come with a global e-warranty system. Nippon Paint is providing its partners with precision cutting software and tools to ensure optimal installation quality.

Sharad Malhotra, Director of Nippon Paint India, said the company utilized its extensive paint expertise to develop a comprehensive film range for various customer segments. He added that the company plans to manufacture these products in India in the near future, in line with the government’s “Make in India” initiative.

Alongside the product launch, the company announced a strategic partnership with the India Champions team. Team captain Yuvraj Singh said the players are motivated to deliver their best in the upcoming tournament. Co-owner Sumant Bahl said the collaboration reflects shared values such as durability and performance under pressure.

Rakesh Handoo, Director of Marketing & Surface Care at Nippon Paint India, said that the brand's “Forever Young” theme connects well with the cricketing icons and the protective role of the n-SHIELD products. The n-SHIELD logo will be displayed on the players’ helmets, highlighting its focus on protection.

India is the second market for the n-SHIELD rollout after Thailand. The product lineup also includes ceramic coatings and other automotive surface care solutions. Headlamp films, already endorsed by some OEMs, are part of the offering.

Nippon Paint is expanding its distributor network and building partnerships with car dealers and detailing centres across the country. It is also planning to open franchise-run n-SHIELD Studios to offer dedicated service and strengthen brand presence. The company also intends to promote its association with the India Champions team through promotional campaigns and partner rewards.

Through these efforts, Nippon Paint aims to make n-SHIELD a preferred choice for vehicle protection in the Indian automotive aftermarket space.
