Bolt.Earth and Simple Energy Partner to Expand DC Fast-Charging Access for Two-Wheelers
Simple Energy's Gen 2 vehicles are already compatible with Bolt.Earth's Blaze DC chargers, with the network spanning 270+ chargers across 100+ cities.
Bolt.Earth and Simple Energy announced a collaboration to expand DC fast-charging access for Simple Energy's electric two-wheelers across India, leveraging Bolt.Earth's existing network of Blaze DC Type-6 chargers deployed in over 100 cities.
All Simple Energy Gen 2 vehicles are already compatible with Bolt.Earth's Blaze DC Type-6 chargers, which follow the LEVDC standard and are available in 3kW and 6kW variants. Compatibility for Gen 1 vehicles is expected to be enabled through a forthcoming software update from Simple Energy.
Bolt.Earth currently operates 270+ Blaze DC chargers across 100+ cities, accessible through its EV Charging App. Integration of Bolt.Earth charger discovery within the Simple Connect App is under development, aimed at creating a unified user experience for Simple Energy riders.
Commenting on this partnership, S. Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO & Founder, Bolt.Earth said, "At Bolt.Earth, we strive to make EV charging accessible, reliable, and future-ready. Partnering with Simple Energy allows us to extend these benefits to a wider rider base and strengthen India's EV ecosystem. Fast charging is critical to mainstream EV adoption, and this collaboration is a step closer to making that a reality. Giving riders the convenience and confidence on every journey."
Bolt.Earth describes itself as India's largest vertically integrated peer-to-peer EV charging network, with over 1,00,000 chargers deployed across 1,900+ cities. The company was founded in 2017 and supports two-, three-, and four-wheelers across both standard and fast-charging formats.
The collaboration reflects a broader trend in India’s EV ecosystem, where interoperability and charging access are becoming critical to mainstream adoption. With two‑wheelers accounting for the majority of the country’s vehicle sales, ensuring reliable fast‑charging infrastructure is seen as essential to overcoming range anxiety and supporting the transition from conventional fuel to electric mobility.
