LTTS Mobility Revenue at ₹850 Crore as Tech Segment Contracts

Engineering services provider L&T Technology Services (LTTS) reported growth in its Mobility segment in the second quarter of FY27, up 4.7% year on year and 2.3% from the previous quarter, even as its Tech segment declined 8.5% year on year. Sustainability was the fastest-growing segment, up 13.4%.

Mobility accounted for 32.3% of LTTS's quarterly revenue of $317.1 million, which works out to roughly $102 million. Its share was unchanged from the previous quarter and up from 31.9% a year earlier.

The company says gross margins improved across all segments. The release doesn't break Mobility down by sub-sector, so the figures cover automotive alongside other transportation and mobility work.

AI-led Engineering Deals

LTTS reported more than $200 million in large-deal total contract value for the quarter, with AI-related deals making up over half. Wins included one $75 million deal, one of $30 million-plus, one of $25 million and six of $10 million-plus.

One of the named wins came from the automotive sector: "a leading automotive technology provider" partnered with LTTS for AI-powered engineering across product and digital engineering. The client and contract value weren't disclosed.

The company says annualized revenue from its Engineering Intelligence (EI) solutions reached $120 million. These are delivered through EIOne, a platform of more than 100 solutions spanning engineering, products, and manufacturing and operations. The CEO's investor message cites partnerships with Anthropic, NVIDIA, Databricks and leading hyperscalers.

Physical AI for Manufacturing

LTTS also launched an EI Lab with NVIDIA to build "Physical AI-native applications" for manufacturing, robotics and supply chain. This is a growing focus area for automakers and suppliers modernizing their plants.

Among the quarter's wins was a robotics engineering engagement with a cleaning equipment manufacturer for the design and development of robotic machines, along with an Industry 4.0 project for a European food and beverage company covering IT/OT convergence.

Engineering Centers and Co-developed IP

Several wins involve dedicated engineering centers or centers of excellence for global clients, including a five-year telecom agreement and engagements with an energy services provider and an automated storage and retrieval systems provider.

This is the same delivery model many automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers use for scaling engineering capacity. LTTS's patent portfolio stands at 1,808, of which 1,085 are co-authored with clients. The company was also named a Leader in Everest Group's 2026 PLM Services PEAK Matrix assessment.

LTTS expects revenue momentum to strengthen in the second half of the fiscal year, citing an improving order backlog and pipeline. It reiterated a long-term aspiration of 13-15% revenue CAGR with EBIT margins of 16-17% over five years. Q2 EBIT margin was 16.3%, up 60 basis points from the previous quarter.
