Kia launches 2024 Refreshed Seltos from Rs 15.40 lakh onwards
Petrol-CVT and diesel-AT now available from mid-spec HTK+ trims.
Kia has launched two new automatic variants of the Seltos SUV, making the auto gearbox a lot more accessible than before. Available on HTK+ trim, the new Seltos HTK+ petrol-CVT is priced at Rs 15.40 lakh while the Seltos HTK+ diesel-AT has been priced at Rs 16.90 lakh. Kia has also updated the other existing trims with new features.
Kia Seltos HTK+ trim gets automatic gearbox
The CVT gearbox and the torque converter automatic gearbox for the petrol and diesel engines respectively were so far available form the HTX trim which is the second from top trim on the HT Line. The newly introduced HTK+ trims bring down the entry point to the CVT gearbox by Rs 1.18 lakh; the diesel-AT is more accessible by Rs 1.28 lakh.
Kia has also introduced some new features on the HTK+ trim, which the company claims is the most popular trim of the Seltos. These include the panoramic sunroof, drive and traction modes, paddle shifters, LED connected tail lamps, LED front map lamps and interior LED reading lamps. It also gets leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and a new exterior paint option: Aurora Black Pearl.
Other feature updates
Kia has also updates other trims with new features. The top-end HTX, HTX+, GT Line and X Line trims now get auto up/down function for all four windows. Meanwhile, the lower-spec HTK trim now get LED DRLs, keyless entry, push button start/stop remote engine start/stop, and LED connected tail lamps. Lastly, the base HTE trim now gets five additional exterior colour options: Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Intense Red, Pewter Olive and Imperial Blue.
Prices for the Seltos now range between Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 20.35 lakh (ex-showroom), and continues to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq and more.
