Kia India Expands Carens Lineup with New Carens Clavis

Kia India has introduced the Carens Clavis, the newest addition to its Carens range, aimed at customers looking for a versatile, feature-rich, and spacious family vehicle. The Carens Clavis can be booked nationwide across Kia dealerships and online, with deliveries expected to follow soon.

It combines functionality with modern styling and a tech-forward interior, and comes equipped with several segment-first and best-in-segment offerings. Aimed at both 6- and 7-seater configurations, the vehicle is meant to serve the diverse needs of Indian families, from daily commutes to longer journeys.

The model features ADAS Level 2 technology, including 20 autonomous safety and driver-assistance features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (including pedestrian and cyclist detection), Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and a 360-degree camera with Blind View Monitor. These technologies are supported by an 18-feature robust standard safety package that includes six airbags, ESC, VSM, Hill-start Assist, and ISOFIX.

The Carens Clavis features Kia’s Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED headlamps, Starmap LED DRLs and taillamps, dual-tone 43.66 cm (17-inch) alloy wheels, and satin chrome exterior highlights. A new Ivory Silver Gloss color adds to the available palette.

Inside, the Clavis offers several comfort-centric features including a segment-best 67.62 cm (26.62-inch) dual panoramic display for infotainment and driving information, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting in 64 colors, roof-mounted diffused air vents, and an air purifier mounted on the seat. Convenience features like one-touch electric folding second-row seats, a walk-in lever (Boss Mode), and cooled storage compartments are also part of the package.

Additionally, it offers a 4-way powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, infotainment-temperature control swap switch, and a Bose 8-speaker audio system. USB Type-C charging ports are provided in all rows, along with cup holders and storage solutions across the cabin.

Powertrain choices include the Smartstream G1.5 petrol engine, the Smartstream G1.5 Turbo-GDi, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Notably, the turbocharged petrol now offers a new 6-speed manual transmission option. The Clavis will be available in multiple trims: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+.

Kia India continues to expand its offerings in the country, having sold over 1.2 million vehicles domestically and exported more than 3.67 lakh units. With the Carens Clavis, Kia aims to build on the success of its Carens lineup, which has been adopted by over two lakh Indian families in just three years.

The Carens Clavis will be available in eight exterior color options, including Glacier White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Sparkling Silver, Clear White, Gravity Grey, and the newly introduced Ivory Silver Gloss.
