Hyundai EV Charging Stations Expand With 120kW Delhi Network
Hyundai EV charging stations in Delhi now include 120kW DC fast chargers, while the company plans to expand its network and EV-ready operations.
Hyundai Motor India has inaugurated 120kW DC fast-charging stations at multiple locations in New Delhi as part of its EV charging network expansion. The stations have been established in partnership with Statiq and can be accessed through the myHyundai app and other charging-management applications.
The company currently operates 185 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities. It plans to expand its proprietary charging network to 600 stations by 2030, covering key cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships. Its DC fast-charging solutions currently range from 60kW to 240kW.
The new Delhi installations come as Hyundai continues to expand its electric vehicle operations beyond its existing product portfolio. The company currently sells the IONIQ 5 and CRETA Electric in India and says it plans to introduce a locally manufactured, mass-market SUV EV based on a dedicated EV platform.
Hyundai Plans 600 DC Fast-Charging Stations By 2030
Hyundai says its public charging network currently comprises 185 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities. The company plans to increase this to 600 stations by 2030.
In addition to its proprietary network, Hyundai provides access to more than 38,000 charging points through the myHyundai app through partnerships with multiple charge point operators. The app allows users to locate charging stations, navigate to them, make advance bookings and make digital payments. Access is also available to EV customers of other brands.
As part of its World EV Day initiative, Hyundai is offering complimentary charging to Hyundai EV owners at its own public charging stations from September 9 to September 11, 2026, when the stations are accessed through the myHyundai app.
Hyundai Expands EV Service And Sales Training
Hyundai is also increasing the number of trained personnel supporting its EV sales and after-sales operations. The company currently has more than 2,600 trained dealership personnel across relevant EV service functions and plans to train another 5,000 by the end of FY2026-27.
The company says it has delivered approximately 16,000 person-days of EV service training and invested around Rs 2 crore in upgrading its training centres for EV-related requirements. Training covers areas including high-voltage safety, EV diagnostics, battery handling and specialised repair procedures.
On the sales side, more than 10,000 personnel have been trained so far, with Hyundai targeting more than 17,000 trained sales personnel by the end of FY2026-27. The programme covers EV technology, charging requirements, vehicle capabilities and ownership considerations.
Hyundai plans to expand its EV-ready sales network to 820 touchpoints and its EV-ready workshop network to 650 facilities by the end of FY2026-27. These are company targets and are subject to market, business and regulatory factors.
