Hyundai expands the Exter lineup, now offers two new variants

Hyundai Motor India has expanded its Exter's lineup with the introduction of two new variants, S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT). Priced from Rs 7.86 lakh, these variants come with a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine, smart electric sunroof, and advanced safety features.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the introduction of two new variants for its Hyundai Exter: the S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT). Both variants come equipped with a smart electric sunroof.

These variants are powered by a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine. The S(O)+ MT variant is priced at Rs 7,86,300, while the S+ AMT variant is available at Rs 8,43,900 (ex-showroom).

Key features include a smart electric sunroof, digital cluster with a colour TFT multi-information display (MID), 20.32 cm (8”) touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, all power windows, LED DRLs, front and rear skid plates, headlamp escort function, and floor mats.

Safety features include 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, Day and Night IRVM, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - Highline, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), burglar alarm, ABS with EBD, impact-sensing auto door unlock, and emergency stop signal (ESS).

The SUV market in India has experienced significant growth, driven by a rising preference for versatile vehicles that suit both city and highway driving. Subcompact SUVs, in particular, have seen a surge in popularity due to their compact dimensions, affordability, and practicality. These vehicles offer the elevated driving position and rugged appeal of larger SUVs, while remaining maneuverable in urban environments.

Automakers have responded by launching a variety of models tailored to Indian consumers, offering advanced features, efficient engines, and competitive pricing. This trend reflects changing consumer preferences towards more spacious, stylish, and multifunctional vehicles.
