Godrej Material Handling, a part of Godrej Enterprises Group, has almost completed relocating its material handling equipment manufacturing from its historic Vikhroli campus in Mumbai to a new greenfield plant in Khalapur, about 70 km from Mumbai. The company invested approximately Rs 350 crore in a facility designed to increase annual capacity fivefold and anchor its bet on India's manufacturing ambitions for years ahead.
The transition, executed line by line over seven to eight months to avoid disrupting supplies, is now about 98% complete, according to Anil Lingayat, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Godrej Material Handling, who ...
