Honda Cars India Reports Total Dispatches of 4,938 Units in April 2026
A 21 percent rise in domestic sales offsets a decline in export shipments at the start of the new financial year.
Honda Cars India Limited dispatched a total of 4,938 vehicles in April 2026, marking a slight increase from the 4,871 units sold during the same month in the previous year. The automaker's domestic sales grew by 21 percent, reaching 4,069 units compared to the 3,360 units recorded in April 2025.
Conversely, the company recorded a decline in its international business, with export shipments falling to 869 units in April 2026 from 1,511 units in the corresponding period last year.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, stated that the new fiscal year has started on a positive note for the company, supported by steady demand for the Amaze, City, and Elevate models. "HCIL has recorded a 21% growth in domestic sales for April 2026. We remain confident of sustaining this growth trajectory in the coming months," Behl noted.
