BharatBenz Expands North India Network with Gorakhpur 3S Facility

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the maker of BharatBenz trucks and buses, has inaugurated a new 3S (sales, service and spares) facility in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, in partnership with PPS Trucking.

Located at Kasarol Village, Sahjanwa, in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) area along NH 27, the facility spans 75,000 sq ft and has 11 bays, including nine service bays and two accident repair bays. It has an annual servicing capacity of up to 4,100 vehicles.

The facility is equipped with diagnostic systems, service equipment and an inventory of BharatBenz spare parts. It also offers 24x7 roadside assistance supported by mobile service vans, along with a washing bay and wheel-alignment facility.

Why Gorakhpur: NH 27 Freight Corridor to Bihar, the Northeast and Nepal

The location on NH 27 provides access to commercial vehicle traffic between Lucknow, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur, as well as routes connecting eastern Uttar Pradesh with Bihar, the Northeast and Nepal. The region sees commercial vehicle movement related to construction materials, including sand and stone chips, along with agricultural, industrial and long-haul freight.

The workshop will be operated by 48 trained and certified technicians and will provide preventive maintenance, scheduled servicing, on-site support and express service for BharatBenz trucks and buses. It also includes dedicated rest areas and facilities for drivers and fleet operators.

PPS Trucking said the new facility takes its BharatBenz network in Uttar Pradesh to 20 touchpoints. The company said the Gorakhpur location will allow it to serve customers operating along the transport corridor connecting eastern Uttar Pradesh with the Northeast and Nepal.
