Castrol India Launches New Aesthetic Care Product Range for Vehicle Maintenance
The lubricant manufacturer introduces four new products including shampoo, wax, glass cleaner and interior dresser to expand its Auto Care portfolio for bike and car owners.
Castrol India Limited has expanded its Auto Care portfolio with the launch of a new Aesthetic Care range designed for vehicle maintenance. The company, which has operated in India's lubricant sector for 115 years, announced four new products aimed at helping bike and car owners maintain their vehicles.
The new range includes Castrol Ultra Protect Shampoo, Castrol Ultra Protect Wax, Castrol Glass Cleaner, and Castrol Dash & Leather Dresser. These products are positioned to address the growing trend of vehicle owners performing maintenance tasks at home without requiring specialised equipment.
Kedar Lele, Managing Director of Castrol India, described the launch as a deliberate expansion into the broader vehicle maintenance ecosystem. The new products complement Castrol's existing Auto Care line, which includes chain cleaners, lubricants, polishing compounds, and helmet cleaners.
The Castrol Ultra Protect Shampoo features a pH-balanced formula with Carnauba wax, designed to clean without damaging protective layers. The accompanying wax product provides a protective coating against environmental factors including sun exposure and pollution.
The Glass Cleaner addresses visibility needs by removing dirt and smudges from glass surfaces and surrounding components. The Dash & Leather Dresser is formulated for interior surfaces including vinyl, plastic, leather, and rubber, offering protection against fading and cracking.
The Aesthetic Care products will be distributed through auto spare shops, accessory outlets, workshops, and e-commerce platforms including Amazon. Castrol India Limited is part of the bp group and operates three blending plants with distribution reaching over 150,000 retail outlets across India.
