Bharat Forge Completes Rs 746.5 Crore Acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing

Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) has successfully completed its acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Private Limited for an equity value of Rs 746.46 crore, marking a significant expansion of the company's automotive manufacturing capabilities.

The transaction, initially announced in October 2024, received final approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in April 2025. The acquisition price includes Rs 189.48 crore in cash from AAM India's books, which Bharat Forge plans to deploy for future growth initiatives.

"We are acquiring an entity which has a formidable name in the automotive products space supplying to all major OEM across traditional and New Mobility technology," the company stated in its announcement. The acquisition is expected to complement Bharat Forge's existing component offerings with comprehensive product solutions for original equipment manufacturers both in India and globally.

The final equity value remains subject to net working capital adjustments as of June 30, 2025, according to the company's filing with stock exchanges.

AAM India brings established relationships with major automotive manufacturers and expertise in both conventional automotive technologies and emerging new mobility solutions. This strategic addition aligns with Bharat Forge's broader expansion strategy in the rapidly evolving automotive sector.

Bharat Forge, headquartered in Pune, operates as a technology-driven global leader in manufacturing high-performance, safety-critical components across multiple sectors including automotive, power, oil and gas, construction, mining, rail, marine, defense, and aerospace. The company maintains manufacturing operations across 18 locations in five countries.

The acquisition strengthens BFL's position in India's automotive supply chain while expanding its capability to serve the growing electric vehicle and advanced mobility segments. With this transaction, Bharat Forge continues to build its comprehensive portfolio of automotive solutions, leveraging its extensive metallurgical expertise and global manufacturing network.
