Bajaj Auto Launches Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter at Rs 99,990

Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001 electric scooter, an upgraded version of the Chetak 2903 model. The new scooter is priced at Rs 99,990 and is built on the same platform as the Chetak 35 series. The new scooter features floorboard-mounted 3.0 kWh batteries. The company said the scooter offers improved stability and storage compared to its predecessor.

Key Specifications

The Chetak 3001 offers a certified range of 127 kilometers on a single charge and includes 35 liters of boot storage space. The scooter comes with a 750W charger that can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Optional TecPac features include call accept/reject functionality, music control, guide-me-home lights, hill hold assist, reverse light, and auto-flashing stop lamp.

The scooter features a steel metal body and carries an IP67 water resistance rating. Bajaj Auto operates over 3,800 service centers across India.

According to the company, Chetak finished the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 (January-March) as India's top-selling electric scooter. The 35 series models, including the 3501 and 3502, have contributed to this market position.

"Chetak 3001 sets the benchmark for mass adoption of electric scooters," said Eric Vas, President of Bajaj Auto's Urbanite Business Unit. "It delivers the range and performance that Indian scooter riders demand with assured reliability and service."

Bajaj Auto has sold over 21 million motorcycles across more than 100 countries. The company exports two out of every three Indian motorcycles sold internationally and is the world's largest three-wheeler manufacturer.

Bajaj Auto became the first two-wheeler company globally to reach a market capitalization of one trillion rupees and maintains its position as the world's most valuable two-wheeler company.

The Chetak 3001 will be available through Amazon and Bajaj's dealer network.
