Ather Energy Q1 FY27 Results: Revenue Up 87%, EBITDA Turns Positive
Ather Energy Limited has reported a positive consolidated EBITDA of Rs 9 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, improving from an EBITDA loss of Rs 106 crore in the same period last fiscal year. Consolidated total income grew 87.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,260 crore, supported by higher sales volumes, calibrated price adjustments, and an expanding share of non-vehicle revenue streams.
Volume Growth, Pre-Orders and Margin Expansion
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer delivered 83,173 units during the quarter, representing an 80.5% year-on-year increase. Quarterly pre-orders rose 158% year-on-year to 150,000 units, while total customer enquiries grew 95% to 707,000 units. Consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs 51 crore from Rs 178 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Non-vehicle operational revenues, encompassing software subscriptions, charging infrastructure, spare parts, accessories, and service, accounted for 14% of operational revenue, up from 13% in the prior-year period.
Adjusted gross margin expanded 82.3% year-on-year to Rs 282 crore, supported by cost reduction measures, supplier negotiations, and product mix management, which helped offset commodity inflation across copper, aluminium, lithium, and crude-linked raw materials. The company's newly incorporated wholly owned subsidiary, Ather Insurance Limited, recorded a net loss of Rs 22 lakh during the quarter.
