Aston Martin to launch two new cars in India

Aston Martin has revealed that it plans to launch two new cars in India soon – the updated DBX707 and the upcoming next-gen Vanquish. While the DBX707 is slated for a November launch here, the new Vanquish will make its global debut on September 2. We can now confirm that the Vanquish will arrive in India in the second quarter of 2025.

The Aston Martin DBX was revised a few months ago with a significant tech update. Since then, the SUV has been available only in the top-spec 707 form, with the lower-powered 550hp version of its twin-turbo V8 discontinued. It retains the 707hp, 900Nm 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox with an all-wheel drive system that can send up to 100 percent of the torque to the rear axle on demand.

The updated DBX707 gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen placed in the middle of the ‘waterfall’-shaped centre stack. It runs Aston’s bespoke infotainment platform, with smartphone mirroring included as standard and a suite of SUV-specific features added, such as hill-descent control. The four individual drive select buttons atop the dashboard have now been replaced with a toggle-style shifter in the centre console. It also gets a new 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. 

The older version of DBX 707 sold here costs Rs 4.63 crore. The price could rise to around Rs 5 crore for the updated SUV.

Aston Martin is all set to revive the iconic Vanquish nameplate with a brand-new grand tourer that will be plonked with a twin-turbo V12 engine putting out 835hp and 1,000Nm of torque, a substantial 110hp and 100Nm increase over the DBS that it will be replacing. It is worth noting that the previous two generations of the Vanquish have been equipped with naturally aspirated V12 powertrains. 

The carmaker released a few teasers of the vehicle, showing its futuristic tail-lights, tan leather seats and a glimpse of the headlights and grille. Previous spy shots have revealed that it will be based on the DB12 but with huge new vents on the bonnet, a much wider front grille and a chunkier lower splitter. At the rear will be a larger diffuser, and the twin-exit exhaust setup will be replaced with four tailpipes.
