Tata Motors Group posts 40 percent growth in its wholesales for April 2018
Tata Motors sold 19,157 units in April 2018 in the domestic market.
Tata Motors Group's global wholesales in April 2018, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 102,297 units, which is higher by 40 percent, over April 2017. Similarly, the sales of its commercial vehicles, including the Tata Daewoo range in April 2018 were at 39,678 units, a good 119 percent higher than in the previous year.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover was 45,284 vehicles and it includes the CJLR volumes of 8,095 units. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 14,874 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 30,410 vehicles.
Compared to April 2017, the global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in April 2018 was higher by 14 percent by selling 62,619 units.
At the domestic front, Tata Motors has enjoyed a healthy growth in its UV sales based on the strong performance of the Nexon compact SUV, whose sales figure stands at 27,747 units in just seven months of its launch.
(CJLR stands for the joint venture between JLR and Chery automobiles and is an unconsolidated subsidiary of JLR.)
