Tata Motors launches Altroz XM+ variant at Rs 660,000
Carmakers revs up for festive season sales, offers touch-screen infotainment with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, along with other features in premium hatchback.
Tata Motors, which rolled out the Camo variant of its flagship Harrier SUV yesterday, today launched the XM+ variant of its premium hatchback – the Tata Altroz – at Rs 660,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The XM+ variant comes with a number of features such as a 17.78cm touch-screen infotainment with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, steering-mounted controls, voice alerts, voice command recognition, R16 wheels with stylized wheel covers and remote foldable key. The XM+ variant is available in four colours – High Street Gold, Downtown Red, Avenue White and Midtown Grey.
According to Vivek Srivatsa, Head Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors, “With the Altroz, we have not only raised the bar in the premium hatchback segment, but also created a new benchmark for safety in the industry. We are confident that the introduction of the XM+ variant will further strengthen the appeal of the Altroz by giving customers an option to experience a variety of premium features at an extremely attractive price.”
Launched in January 2020, the Altroz was Tata Motors’ entry vehicle into the premium hatchback segment. The Altroz also aced the Global NCAP crash test with a robust 5-star adult safety rating. The Altroz sports the company’s Impact design 2.0 philosophy and is the first vehicle to be developed on the ALFA architecture.
The Altroz was launched in India on January 22, 2020 at Rs 529,000. As per Autocar Professional’s estimates, the Altroz has sold a total of 27,480 units till end-September 2020. These comprise 1,193 diesel variants and 26,287 diesel variants, translating into an average monthly sale of 3,053 units.
