American cloud-based enterprise software and service provider QAD has expanded its India office in Mumbai. Pam Lopker, founder and president, QAD participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the expansion.

The company is looking to expand its presence in India, and is betting big on the domestic automotive market growth story. “India is quickly becoming one of the world’s most important automotive manufacturing hubs. QAD India has provided solutions and services to India and the Asia-Pacific region for many years, and the growth there means we need to expand our presence," said Lopker.

"I am excited to spend time with our team of professionals in India and meet with our customers. QAD offers an award-winning ERP solution for automotive suppliers and is positioned well for the Indian market. We plan on playing an important role in the growth of the automotive industry in India and in the Asia Pacific region,” added Lopker.

QAD provides enterprise software and services for global manufacturing companies across the automotive, life sciences, consumer products, food and beverage, high technology and industrial manufacturing industries.

The company says suppliers to 93 of the 100 top-selling cars in the world use its ERP solution. The QAD Cloud ERP Automotive Edition is designed specifically for the automotive industry, which includes integrated supply chain management, provides for alignment to industry best practices and supports the evolving needs of automotive suppliers.

QAD's ERP software helps automotive suppliers effectively manage customer requirements and extend to lower-tier suppliers. The solution includes QAD analytics to help global manufacturers monitor costs, reduce risks and enhance performance.

Stefan de Haar, senior vice-president, Asia Pacific, QAD, said: “The Indian automotive market is one of the fastest growing in the world, and growing demand for vehicles means a huge opportunity for our automotive supplier customers. QAD has served the Indian automotive industry and the surrounding region for years and we are working to grow our business there, both in automotive and in our other vertical segments.”

Debajit Roy, country sales director, QAD India, said: "The Indian automotive sector is growing at fast pace, this is when the supply chain needs to be absolutely efficient. The OEMs need their suppliers to have global best practices and international standards like MMOG/LE - followed to meet their increasing demands. That's where QAD Cloud ERP with all the global standards incorporated for automotive suppliers will help bridge the gap. With the rapid implementation methodology EOB - standard QAD Cloud ERP can be implemented within three to four months time for a single site - helping realise the ROIs much faster than ever before from any other solutions in the market."
